So what is a Loan, anyway? Each year, The Professional Photographers of Association offers to its 20,000 members from 54 countries the opportunity to enter what is considered the gold standard for international photography competition. According to PPA, a Loan Print is selected as one of the "Best of the Best" images. In 2010, the top 12% of more than 4,000 prints were selected as Loan Prints. These prints will be published in a much-anticipated "Loan Collection" book and will be included in PPA’s annual exhibit of professional photography.
A second print, "Tough," was selected for PPA's "General Collection." This was my first PPA International Print Competition, and I'm very excited and honored!
